A Brief View of the Holy Call

In a Narration about Imam Al Baqir (PBUH) (There is no banner better than that of the banner of Yamani, it is the banner of faith and dedication, because he calls to your possessor, so if the Yamani comes out, selling weapons to people or any Muslim becomes prohibited, and if the Yamani appears, stand up to him, because he’s banner is the banner of faith, and its prohibited for any Muslim to turn away from him, and who ever turns away from him, then he’s from the people of hell, because he calls to the truth and to the right path).

Here we have the right to ask:
If this flag is of such important importance, and who ever ignores it goes to hell, and the case is clear by standing up to him, then why not set any details??

We do not know the name of the Yamani or the Yamani’s description or the Yamani’s place of origin, or anything, but if we turn against him we will enter the fire of hell.

Here are the books that talk about the Imam Mahdi, where you find narrations and find many explanations about the characters of the era of emergence, except the character of the Yamani, as it is indistinct. Even though it is the most important, why is this silence on this character? Does god and his Messenger and Ahlu-albait (the family of the prophet) want to mislead us, which they will never do (god forbid), then why is that?

Moreover, if any person claims that he is the owner of this character, we will certainly not accept him and we will ask him about the evidence.

For us it is easy, and our desires agree with us to say to whomever claims something great is lying, and we convince ourselves that his decisive argument of God was incomplete and we don’t commit ourselves to stand by him, but it is compulsory on the Yamani himself to bring us something to convince us that he is the Yamani.

(In the book of sheikh Al-Noamani published in Beirut the year 1983 page 220)

From Malik Al-Juhani he said: I said to Abu Ja'far (PBUH): “we describe the man of this matter with the aspects that no one of the people has ever had.”

He said: “No, By Allah, it is not so. It is he himself, who will argue with you about that and will invite you to it.”

And I think that the reason for the dimness of this character are at least three main reasons:

-1.so it wouldn’t be easy to claim on each claiming liar, and thus, cause disruption between people.

-2.To protect its owner from his many enemies in the era of emergence.

-3. To trial and test people to distinguish the believers and infidels, and this is the way of God with every owner of a Divine matter.

And at this point, of course many of your honors are asking, yes, so what did your “caller” come with to prove that he is the Yamani, and here is the answer:

He came in and argued the evidence (narrations of Muhammad (PBUH & His House Hold)) and showed who this character is, whom we are obliged to stand by and obey before the appearance of Imam Mahdi, (PBUH):

He showed us what’s the meaning of Yamani, and (PBUH) said:

You must first know that Mecca is from Tohama and Tohama is from Yemen. This means that Mohammad and his family (PBUT) are all Yamania. Mohammad (PBUH) is a Yamani, Ali (PBUH) is a Yamani and Imam Mahdi (PBUH) is a Yamani and the 12 Mahdieen are Yamania and the first Mahdi is a Yamani as well. This is what the first active (working) scholars (May god have mercy on)knew: (then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have give up As-Salat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fix time]and have followed lusts so they will be thrown in hell.)(Mariam-59)

Al-Alama-AlMajlisi (may God have mercy on him) named in his book “Al-Bihar”, named the words of Ahlul-Bayt (The Family of the Prophet PBUTA)as ( the Yamani wisdom). Review Introduction of Al-Bihar section 1, p. 1. It is also stated about by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and also, Abd al-Muttalib (PBUH) also named the Sacred House (the Ka’bah), by the name, Al-Ka’bah Al-Yamania (review Bihar Al-Anwar section 22, 51-77.)

As for the personal boundaries of the Yamani, it was stated in a narration from Imam Al-Baqir (PBUH) (There is no banner better than that of the banner of Yamani, it is the banner of faith and dedication, because he calls to your possessor, so if the Yamani comes out, selling weapons to people or any Muslim becomes prohibited, and if the Yamani appears, stand up to him, because he’s banner is the banner of faith, and its prohibited for any Muslim to turn away from him, and who ever turns away from him, then he’s from the people of hell, because he calls to the truth and to the right path).(Al- Ghaybah- Mohammad Bin Ibrahim Al-No’many –pg 264)

And it has:-

First)

It’s prohibited for any Muslim to turn away from him, and who ever turns away from him, then he’s from the people of hell, and this means that the Yamani (is a holder of a divine mandate), as a person won’t be a decisive argument of God on people, to a point that whoever turns against him goes to hell, even if they prayed and fasted, except if he was from ((The successors of Allah on his land)).

Second)

(And because he calls to the truth and to the right path). The call to the truth and the right path, or the straight path means: (That this person does not make a mistake which results in making the people do wrong, or takes them out of the straight path). In other words, He is an infallible and texts have been written about his infallibility. In this sense, this limitation and/or constraint comes in handy to define the character of The Yamani. As for the presumption of any other meaning to these words (because he calls to the truth and to the right path) then this makes the words of them (PBUTA) useless, and there won’t be a constraint and/or no limit to the character of the Yamani, and god forbid that they ) PBUTA) would do such a thing.

The outcome from what came in the first and second:

The Yamani) is a decisive argument from the arguments of God on his land and is infallible with text to admit his infallibility.

The who are the owners of the divine mandate of God? They are the prophets and messengers and guardians.

And who are the guardians after the Messenger of Allah (PBUH & His House Hold)?

The answer is they are the twelve Imams and the twelve Mahdi’s... they Are mentioned by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH & His House Hold) on the night of misfortune
After Omar (may God curse him) said what he said, and the messenger of Allah expelled him from his house. He dictated his will, to Ali (PBUH) and it was witnessed by Abu Thar and Salman and Mokdad and

this is the text of the will:

The Thursday of Calamity

It was narrated about Abu Abdullah (PBUH) about his forefathers about Amir Al Mo’mineen (Ali PBUH) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: During the night of his death: “O Father of Al Hassan, bring me a leaf and a paper”, and he dictated his will until he came to a position where he said "O Ali, there will be twelve Imams and after them there will be twelve Mahdi’s. You, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams, and the speech kept on going until he said: Let Al-Hassan (PBUH) hand the will to his son M O H A M M A D, the preserved of Mohammad’s Family (PBUH), and those are the

twelve Imams. Then there will be twelve Mahdi’s after them. then when the day of death comes to him, let him hand the will over to his son, the first of the close ones, he has three names, one like mine and my Father’s: Abdollah (Servant of God), Ahmad and the third name is The Mahdi (the guided) and he is the first Believer.”Bihar Al Anwar (Oceans of Lights), chapter 53 page 147, and Ghaybat Al Tousi (Occultation by Al Tousi) page 150. And Ghayat Al Maram chapter 2 page 241.

Now let’s search, which one of them is the Yamani?

And twelve of the Imams (PBUT) have passed,

So Imam Al Mahid and the twelve Imams are left, and the Yamani calls to Imam Al-Mahdi (PBUH)

The eleven Mahdi’s after him are from the sons of the first Mahdi. They come too late for the era of the emergence of Imam Mahdi PBUH, but they are in the state of divine justice.

Therefore, the Yamani must be the first of the Mahdis.

And it has to be that the first Mahdi is the Yamani and the Yamani is the first Mahdi.

And the first Mahdi is the Yamani and the narrations of Ahlul-bayt (The Family of the Prophet PBUTA) confirm his name, his characteristics and his home in detail.

His name is Ahmad, and his nickname is Abdullah- or Israel- this means that the people call him the Israeli, oppress them, despite what they want.

His name is Ahmad

He is from the Bara, Iraq

On his right cheek there is a mark

At the beginning of his appearance, he will be a young man

There is a lichen on his head

Hollow eyed

Unlinked eyebrows

Wide shouldered

Yellow legs

Dark colored and is a son of a dark colored women

He has the knowledge of the Qura’an the Torah and the Bible

He is nicknamed the Mahdi

He is an Imam and his Obedience is obligatory by Allah

It is not permissible for a Muslim to turn against him and who does is from the people of hell

He calls to the truth and to the right path and/or the straight path and calls to Imam Al-Mahdi (PBUH)….

And Imam Ahmad (PBUH) came with the description that Ahlul-Bayt (PBUTA) described him in, and he looks exactly how he was described and he argued us with is, and this is the text that the messengers are known by…

He came with the knowledge and his books are on the website and he challenged them to respond to one word of it. He challenged the people of the religions and communities to debate with them about their books…

And he raised the banner of allegiance to Allah which is brought by the messengers of Allah and his decisive arguments…

His Infallibility

Since the narrations indicate that Al-Yamani is infallible and that the first Mahdi is infallible as well, there is no narration or proof that opposes the fact that the figure of Al-Yamani is the same as that of the first Mahdi, or vice versa, for one cannot understand the narrations but by admitting that Al-Yamani and the first Mahdi are the same person and that this person is infallible.

Name Correspondence

The testament of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH and his house hold) indicates that the first Mahdi is called “Ahmad”, and then we look into the narrations that refer to Al-Yamani, such as the narrations of the black standards, the treasures of Taloqan, the standards of Khurasan and the standards of the east, because there are no narrations that describe them as being disobedient or insubordinate to the standard of Al-Yamani (AS), for he who revolts against him (Al-Yamani) will be cast into the Fire, and all the narrations confirm that those standards will fight to pave the way for the advent of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).

• Following the same narrative chain, Al-Baqir narrated the following on the authority of Jabir: [Allah Almighty has a treasure in Taloqan; it is of neither gold nor silver but consists of twelve thousand (men) in Khurasan, having “Ahmad Ahmad” for emblem. They will be lead by a Hashemite young man riding a gray mule and wearing a red headband. I can almost see him crossing the Euphrates; should you hear of his coming, rush to him even if you have to crawl over the snow.]

Thus, the aforementioned narration indicates that Al-Yamani’s name is “Ahmad” as well, which corresponds to the name of the first Mahdi (AS), as related in the testament of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), in which he referred to the guardian and vicegerent of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).

As I already mentioned, the standards that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) called for and stressed on pledging allegiance to, even if one has to crawl over the snow, are the standards of the east (the standards of the promised Al-Yamani) and whoever revolts against them will be cast into the Fire. According to the narration, the treasures of Taloqan are praised and the Hashemite young man who leads them is one of the commanders of Al-Yamani’s army, for the treasures of Taloqan are part of the standards of the east which rally under the standards of Al-Yamani and their emblem is “Ahmad Ahmad”. The expression “Ahmad Ahmad” is known to be different from our common emblems, nay it is a reference to the general commander for whom all the eastern standards of guidance call.

The Imam’s saying “I can almost see him crossing the Euphrates,” refers to the treasures of Taloqan that are located in Iran. Moreover, the Euphrates river does not cross any region bordering Iran, except for the Basra governorate after the Euphrates joins the Tigris in Shatt al-Arab. Therefore, if he were to cross any Iraqi city other than Basra, he would have to cross the Tigris and not the Euphrates, which is a clear indication to the relation of Al-Yamani with Basra, one of Iraq’s southern governorates, which the Euphrates crosses in the city of Nasiriyah, formerly known as the Euphrates of Basra just as the Maysan governorate was formerly known as the Tigris of Basra.

• Narrated by the Commander of the Faithful, Ali Bin Abi Talib (AS), he said: […An imposter will come out from the Tigris of Basra and he will not be from my progeny; he will be the first of all imposters.]

• Also reported on the authority of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali Bin Abi Talib (AS), he said: […Then the rightly-guided and guiding Al-Mahdi will come out and take the standard from Isa, the son of Mary and the imposter will come out afterwards from Maysan in the surroundings of Basra.] However, with its current borders, Basra does not comprise the Euphrates nor the Tigris, but both rivers are joined therein in Shatt al-Arab. Consequently, the Tigris of Basra would be Maysan and the Euphrates of Basra would be Nasiriyah, as made clear in the second narration reported by the Commander of the Faithful (AS), which means that Maysan was located in the region of ancient Basra.

The People of the House (AS) asked the people to follow the one who will cross the Euphrates; and since the Euphrates is located in Iraq, then this Hadith is addressed to the people of Iraq first and then to others. [I can see him crossing the Euphrates; should you hear of his coming, rush to him even if you have to crawl over the snow,] he (AS) said. The verb “to crawl” means to move along on your hands and knees with body close to the ground . A wise man needs no more than a hint to understand, and this is quite explicit, not a hint addressed to a wise man or to any other, for no one would revolt against him unless he was one of those who disobey, stickle and disbelieve in the family of Muhammad (AS) (their enemies) and reject them or worship other than Allah, one of the traitorous errant scholars about whom Muhammad (PBUH), the spokesperson of Allah said: [Scholars of that time will be the most evil of scholars under the skies.] They make themselves and others believe that they are the awliya’ of Allah. In this concern, the Almighty said: {Say: Shall We inform you of the biggest losers in respect of their deeds * Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life and they think they do good work} In his sayings, the Prophet (PBUH) made no exceptions, for the people who do good work will be very few and insignificant at that time, and they will have no influence over that disobedient and errant society, nay they will be among the oppressed. Allah Almighty said: {And We want to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak on Earth, and to appoint them as Imams and heirs.}

B-The Hujjatullah and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) Who Commands Paying Him Allegiance

The narration of the Mahdis clearly shows that the twelve Mahdis (AS) succeeding Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) are from his progeny and are appointed guardians. The testament of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) also mentioned the twelve Imams (AS) who preceded them. The Mahdis will succeed their father, Imam Al-Mahdi (AS), as the Hujjats of Allah over His servants so that the Earth is not left without a Hujjat. In this concern, Allah Almighty said: {We have sent messengers to bring you the good news and to warn you so that people would have no argument against Allah after (the coming of) His messengers, for Allah is Mighty and Wise.} Then He added: {Say: Allah is the conclusive argument, for had He willed it, He would have certainly guided you all.}

• Abu Jafar Al-Baqir (AS) said: [By Allah, ever since Adam passed away, He Almighty has never left His land without an Imam to guide people to Him and be His Hujjat over His servants; for the Earth cannot remain without an Imam who would be the Hujjat of Allah over His servants.]

• Narrated by Abu Abdullah (AS), he said: [If no more than two remain on Earth, one of them will then have to be the Hujjat over the other.]

• Abu Abdullah (AS) said: [If the people were reduced to only two, then one of them will be the Imam. He also said that he who dies last would be the Imam so that no one will have an argument against Allah Almighty for leaving him without His Hujjat over him.]

Therefore, it is undeniable that the Hujjat of Allah should be infallible, so that his proof and authority be absolute; {He (alone) knows the Unseen; and He reveals not His secrets unto anyone * Except unto the messenger He has chosen. He will make guards to go before him and after him.} Allah assigns for His Hujjats, guards to march before and after them, to distinguish and honor them for their dignified rank; people will then have no argument against Him after the coming of His messengers and His proof over them shall be comprehensive and absolute.

and one of the Hujjats of Allah; he is also the guardian, successor and first believer in his father as well as the main forerunner and the leader of the forces that will fight before the advent of Al-Qa’im (the one who will rise) to Thus, it became clear to us that the first Mahdi is infallible pave the way for the establishment of his State.

As for the commander of the black standards of the east, he is the successor of Al-Mahdi (AS); and since the successor can only be one, then he is the first Mahdi himself and the following narration supports it:

• [If you see the black standards coming out from Khurasan, rush to them even if you have to crawl over the snow, for they embrace the successor of Al-Mahdi.]

I already mentioned that Al-Yamani (AS) is the commander of the black standards of the east, the Hujjat (proof and authority) of Allah and an infallible. Furthermore, the narrations indicated he is the main forerunner of the Imam (AS) as well.

• The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, [Before your treasure, three will kill each other; all of them are sons of different caliphs, however none will be the recipient. Afterwards, the black standards will come out from the east and they will wage an unmatched battle against them. The Messenger then mentioned a young man and said, Should you see him, pledge allegiance to him, for he is the successor of Al-Mahdi.]

This young man, Al-Yamani, has been confirmed as an infallible figure and a Hujjat, since the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) called upon people to pledge allegiance to him. Imam Al-Baqir (AS) gave further evidence to confirm that Al-Yamani is a Hujjat when he said: [He who revolts against him will be cast into the Fire.] Moreover, since the first Mahdi is a guardian, his infallible nature and his identity as the Hujjat of Allah are automatically established. As the previous narration indicates that he is the successor of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS), and since the successor of Al-Mahdi can only be one, then Al-Yamani is undeniably the first Mahdi. However, should we say that Al-Yamani (the Yemenite) is a different person than the first Mahdi, I would retort that one of the two must definitely be the Hujjat over the other who would rally under his standard.

Then, should one argue that the first Mahdi is the Hujjat, the role of Al-Yamani would become secondary and he would be rallying under the standard of the first Mahdi, which is not true since the narrations state that Al-Yamani is the main forerunner of the Imam and Muslims ought not to revolt against him, for he who does so will be cast into the Fire. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) calls upon people to pay allegiance to him even if they had to crawl over the snow, and the narrations are explicit in affirming that he is the successor of Al-Mahdi (AS).

However, should one argue that Al-Yamani is the Hujjat, I would say that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) referred to the first Mahdi in his testament and said: Let him pass it to his first son who will be the first of the Mahdis etc. The testament of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stipulates that Al-Yamani be paid allegiance and states that he is the guardian and successor of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS). Hence, he would rally under no standard other than his father’s. Also, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would not call upon people to pledge allegiance to two persons simultaneously, while they both exist at the same time, the time of the Appearance, for the first Mahdi is the first of the believers in Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) at the time of his Appearance, as the Messenger (PBUH) said: […he is the first of the believers], and Al-Yamani is the commander of his army at the time of his Appearance, which means that they exist at the same time. Consequently, the allegiance the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) called for pledging at the time of the Appearance can only be referring to the allegiance to one person: the first Mahdi (Al-Yamani).

Were the Mahdis mentioned Only In the will?

There have been many narrations that indicated the Mahdis other than the holy Will. After reading and observing the narrations well, you cannot deny that the Mahdis are descendants of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).Thus, the mentioning of Mahdis are provided with evidence or definitive evidence of their presence and they are successors of Imam Mahdi (AS), and here are some:

Qa'em, we shall have twelve Mahdis from the descendents of Al Hussein (A.S)) Ghaybat Al Tusi (Occultation by Al About the Sadiq (AS) said: (from among us, after the Tusi) page 385.
And about Imam Sajad (AS) said: ((the Qa’em will appear from among us and after him there will be twelve Mahdis)) Sharh Alkhbar 3/400 (Explanation News 3 / 400.) And about Abu Baseer said: (("I told Al Sadiq, Ja'far Bin Mohammad (A.S), “O son of the Prophet, I once heard your father (A.S) saying that after the Qa'em there shall be twelve Imams”, and then he corrected, “He actually said twelve Mahdis and not twelve Imams. They are from our followers (Shiite), who shall call upon people to support us and identify our right.”)) Kamal Al Din (Perfectionism of Religion) chapter 2, page 358. The statement in the prayer of Imam Reza (AS)-the right-of Imam Mahdi in the era of emergence ((O Allah Give him in himself and his family and his son and his descendants and the nation, and all his subjects as pleases him, and bring him the king of all kingdoms ... until he says: O Allah, bless the rulers of his era and imams after him and reach to their hopes and make their life’s longer and dear their victory...)) Mosbah Al-Motahajid for the Tusi page 409. And many other narrations. So do all of these narrations not fit to be a witness to the truth of the indication of the Mahdis in the will of the Messenger of God (PBUH)???

The Awaited Reformer

All divine religions recognize Allah’s supremacy. However, people have refuted His supremacy and have not acknowledged it for the majority of them, except for few such as the people of Moses (AS) in the era of Talut or the Muslims in the era of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, no sooner did the Prophet (PBUH) pass away than they went back to refuting the supremacy of Allah and recognizing people’s supremacy through the Shura, the elections and the Saqifat Bani Saeda gathering that alienated Regent Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (AS). Even though nowadays everybody advocates the supremacy of people and elections, whether they were scholars or the common public, the great majority of them admits that the successor of Allah on earth is the righteous ruler.
